Safety Standby Services offer a comprehensive water safety service. With national reach across the UK our safety standby teams have unparalleled experience in managing rescue and safety cover for a wide variety of water related hazards.
Because we often work at remote locations, far from immediate help, our crews are deployed with the skills equipment and training not only to recover a casualty, but also to stabilise them and extract them to a handover point with the Emergency Medical Services.

Our Range of Services
Safety Boats. We have a range of safety boats available from small inflatable to large Ribs depending upon the nature of your risk and the type of water. All our crews hold nationally recognised qualifications, not just in powerboat and safety boat operations, but also in swift water rescue, working at height rescue and emergency first aid.
Bank based safety cover. Our crews are also trained to Rescue 3 standards for a range of bank based and in water rescue options. This provides us with the maximum flexibility to match tactics to your risks and needs.
Confined space with water. We are uniquely positioned to support operations combining confined space and water risks.
Remote area working. We provide emergency response for personnel working in remote or challenging areas where a water risk exists.
Emergency response project management. We can manage, audit and develop methods and safe systems of work ensuring your project is fully compliant with all relevant legislation and UK industry best practice.

We have a range of delivery systems which mean we can get your plant, boats and any other equipment to a suitable point of access.
In addition to water safety, we also have a range of specialist craft and pontoons designed to facilitate access for inspection and maintenance in the water environment.

The large floating pontoon operates across the UK providing unparalleled ease of access for detailed bridge inspections.
Ideally suited to arch structures which can be problematic to access. The pontoon has a scaffold tower combination which can be configured in a number of ways to facilitate access to a wide range of structures.
