Height Safety and Rescue Training
Technical Rope Rescue courses are available from us through the rescue 3 scheme. These courses are designed to allow supervisors and team leaders to develop the knowledge and skills required to manage and implement a working at heights rescue.
For maintenance and inspection work, most organisations will use the IRATA system. However, there are alternatives available within the UK. IRATA is designed for full time technical rope access operations and is onerous in regard to the time commitment and levels of training for this technically demanding discipline.
The Rescue 3 Rope Rescue Scheme is more aligned to creating capability for emergency rescue from persons stranded at height and as a different focus to the IRATA scheme.
Our training meets the following requirements:
BS 7985 :2009 Code of practice for the use of rope access methods for industrial purposes
BS 8437 Code of practice for selection, use and maintenance of personal fall protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace.
BS 8454 :2006 Code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue.
It is also fully compliant with H&S requirements and the Working at Heights Regulations 2005.
A team based approach enables a wider range of rescue situations to be enacted and is ideal for situations where there is good access above and or below the work site, or for confined space rescue.
