Standby Safety is a trading brand of the Spartan Rescue Group. We have a track record of over 20 years experience in the provision of safety critical services to industry and the Emergency Services.

Founded in 1989, we occupy a unique position in holding support contracts to both UK Police Service and Fire and Rescue Service.

We have unparalleled levels of experience in working to create safety systems in support of specialist area activities.

The company is based in the East Midlands, but has operational teams across the UK with satellite offices in Devon, Wales and the Lake District.

We are able to deploy teams 24/7 to any part of the UK in support of your needs.

What we do

Safety Standby Cover. to a range of hazards including water, working at height, confined space, coastal, remote area etc.

Specialist Safety Training. A comprehensive range of training courses including HSE FAW & EFAW (first Aid at work), Rescue 3 courses, powerboat, fire training, manual handling, risk assessment etc

Equipment Procurement . We are able to assess, source and maintain specialist PPE equipment for you across a range of disciplines.

Emergency response project management. We can manage, audit and develop methods and safe systems of work ensuring your project is fully compliant with all relevant legislation and UK industry best practice.

Emergency Services Support. We have a comprehensive range of equipment on standby for mobilisation to the emergency services across the UK in times of need.

Our Pedigree

We are the national training contractor to multiple DEFRA agencies including the Environment Agency.

We are a national contractor to Network Rail in support of infrastructure inspections over water.

We are trainers for HSE First Aid courses, Rescue 3 scheme, Mountain Leader Training Scheme, RYA powerboat scheme.

We work as an operational support contractor to many UK Police and Fire and Rescue Services.
